To-read of the week: Elixir, from Hilary Duff

Hello, people! Omg, it’s already Sunday again, so, new to-read of the week day! This time, I chose Elixir, from goodness Hilary Duff, published in 2010 by Simon & Schuster Books :)

Goodreads description:

Clea Raymond has felt the glare of the spotlight her entire life. The daughter of a renowned surgeon and a prominent Washington DC politician, she has grown to be a talented photojournalist who takes refuge in a career that allows her to travel to the most exotic parts of the world. But after Clea’s father disappears while on a humanitarian mission, Clea’s photos begin to feature eerie, shadowy images of a strange and beautiful man—a man she has never seen before.
When fate brings Clea and this man together, she is stunned by the immediate and powerful connection she feels with him. As they grow closer, they are drawn deep into the mystery behind her father’s disappearance, and they discover the centuries old truth behind their intense bond. Torn by a dangerous love triangle and haunted by a powerful secret that holds their fates, together they race against time to unravel their pasts in order to save their lives—and their futures.

Why I think it’s cool: it is Hilary freaking Duff. From the series saw the cover and bought it. I’m a huge fan since Lizzie McGuire and I honestly believe that she has got the potential to do whatever she puts her mind to, even if it is this art of writing a book. I have mine for almost three or four years now, but I always end up passing something before it… And this kind of problem was that led me to do my own Book Jar (except mine is a book box, because I didn’t have one single cute jar at home, lol). Anyway, the story looks interesting too, so, I’ll give it a chance :)

That’s it, guys! Thanks for reading and I’m sorry that this post was so partial, but we have to admit when we admire someone, right? xD Have you ever read Hilary’s work or are planning to??
